CCU is located near Meishan Fault in Chiayi, in an area of high earthquake risk. Except for establishing Graduate School of Earthquake Study for cultivating future scholars and experts, we ought to take on the responsibility of social education. The best way of implementing earthquake knowledge on visitors (including students at CCU) is by educational video showing, exhibition, and hands-on learning activities. Not only is it educational, it also enhances their interests in learning about earthquakes. For promoting education of earthquake disaster prevention in Yunlin, Chiayi and Tainan areas in Taiwan, CCU established “Earthquake Museum” on the second floor of Earthquake Building.
